I have to use the red ink today cause it's fireworks day around here!!  I hope your having a great 4th of July whatever your doing.  I love the 4th of July.  Cause as you know I LOVE THE FLAG!!!  And I love our country.  I thank all of the service men and women who are out there fighting for our freedom as we enjoy today. There not having a bbq or a swimming party or even enjoying time with their families they are out fighting for you and me!!!  So let's not forget them. 

The  Uncle Sam guy above is a candy dish that I bought in St. Charles, Mo. a few years ago. I went into this candy store and saw this and had to have it.

We're going to see Wicked with Mrs. No Blog and Mr. No Blog tonight.   Nancy tells me it's a great thing to see. I'll let you know what I think of it.   LOL!!!  We're also going to stroll around old town Pasadena and have dinner there.  I can't wait.  Sounds like a great time.  I'll be taking photos of the No Blogger family cause I know your dying to see Mr. No Blog. 

 

 

GIVE AWAY!!!! GIVE AWAY!!!!

HERE YE!!!!!  HERE YE!!!!!   I'm doing a 4th of July give away. Only I'm not giving it away on the 4th.  LOL!!!!!  I made these cute little bags awhile back and thought that maybe, just maybe someone would love to have them.  I'm thinking that there's a few of you that might be interested in it.  I just love the fabric I made them out of.  I've gotta say it's JoAnn's upholstery fabric but it is cute and very sturdy.  So you can't put them in the machine and washt.  You might come out with a bag that will be a wonderful accesory to  your Barbie doll.  LOL!!!  I'm just sayin.

Before I show you the bags, if you are in the Cupcake Swap would you please contact your swap partner and just say HEY!!!   Some of you have contacted your partner and not heard back.  And since there are several of you that do not have a blog it's hard for your partner to know what your likes and dislikes are.  So give a shout out to your partner and let the swapping begin.  I went to ......... today and found some very cool things for my two, yes two partners.  Thanks Bridget I did find what you told me about.  And it was good having lunch with you today.  Bridgid is my Longaberger gal.  We had a business lunch today.  OK so it wasn't business that just sounded good.  LOL!!  Oh and I love my new baskets but you knew I would didnt you?

Ok, here are  my give aways to two of you my friends. Ok before I go any further, those of you who have Typepad.....I'm thinking about cancelling my blog and going to Blogger.  I have had it with Typepad. So if you dont see my blog one day  email me at starsandscraps@aol to find out where I am or try redgeraniumcottage@blogspot.com  or google redgeraniumcottage.  I have HAD IT with Typepad and all there changes.  I load a photo on here and hit the ENTER button and it crashes my blog.  I wrote to Typepad and said the least they could do is credit ALL of us for the time we have wasted on this crap.  It's awful.  And we PAY FOR THIS and pay alot too.  I know I paid out 89.95 for this wonderful service that SUCKS!!!!   I'd love for you to also write to TYPEPAD and let them know if your unhappy.  Maybe if we all stick together something will happen here.  If it's free then we cant complain but this is NOT free.

Here's my second  give away I have as I POUND my keyboard cause I'm so pissed.  LOL!!! Again this one is made with the same  upholstery or home dec fabs and the lining is cotton. So no washing unless Barbie wants a new bag.   And who knows maybe Barbie DOES need a new bag.   This one is my design. I didn't use anyone's pattern.  It's all mine.  LOL!!!!

Cranberry Quiltworks tour

I've got more quilty photos for you girlies.  First off  I have finished quilting one for Cindy and it turned out so cute.  I love this quilt. It's a gift for someone and I think they will love it.

I took a picture of it lying on my floor but didnt like it. this one was lying on my quilting machine. That fabric is so happy. And girly.

Today I went on a little shopping trip.  Either hubby's car or my truck have been in the shop for the past three days. So I've been up and at em early.  Gotta take hubby to work so I'll have transportation.  Can't be stranded at home now can we?

My first stop was at Gina's to buy thread and check out some of her new quilt designs and kits.  She's and the girls are busy over there getting ready for the Long Beach quilt show. But I can't wait for that I had to shop NOW and so can you.  Just give em a call and tell the girls you saw it on my blog.  They'll know what your talking about then. 

Aren't those colors wonderful in the thread?  And see the kit?  I love this little floor (yes I said floor) quilt.  It was under $40 for the whole thing including the backing and binding.

It comes in several colors.  I bought the one with the red and black of course.

Here's the other choices she has.I liked the blue one with the daisy fabric too.

Next I strolled around the corner and went to the Calico House.  Found this kit.  Well actually I only had the two background fabrics on the counter when I was dumb enough to look up!!  And I saw IT!  And It called out to me.  I swear I heard it.  I walked towards it and it jumped into my hand.  And the rest is history. Halloweenie is only four months away you know. 

And here's what I bought there.  Had to get some backgrounds for a class at my house with the sistas.  Can't decide which one to use.  I liked the Halloween one with the skeletons but then I also like the red/white polka dots to use with some of my ME fabs.  What's a girl to do??  Then I got some rickrack, and that cute little stitchery pattern.  But really isn't that skeleton fab adorable???  C U T E !!!!! 

Now about the Cupcake swap.....  I think I've got everyone matched up with a partner.  I know a couple of you asked me last minute to join in and if I get a partner for you I'll send you an email. I'm trying. And MISS NO BLOG.....yes Nancy I'm talking to you, can you please email your wonderful partner?? She's waiting to hear from you. I know you dont have a BLOG but you do have EMAIL.   ROFLOL!!!   There's always one in every crowd.  Oh lordy my phone's gonna be ringing at 8a.m.   LOL!!!!

Dog days of Summer are here.

Is it hot outside or am I menopausal????  I thought I was gonna pass out today. Busy quilting on my Daisy and getting hotter and hotter.  I decide after a couple hours of heat exhaustion I walk over to the a/c controls and notice it is OFF!!!  I never flipped the switch to ON!!!.  No wonder I was about to pass out.  Ok so maybe the forgetful part is the menopause. I'll give you that one.  But take a look at her, and tell me it's not hot!!

Poor doggy loves that ice cold rag on her head.  Maybe she's going thru menopause too?? 

While on the subject of quilting on Daisy, I've gotta send a great big thank you again to Ginaand her gang over at Cranberry Quiltworks.  Her tech guy helped me out today and I really appreciate it.  He helped me reprogram a few settings on my Daisy and now she's purring once again.  Talk about that customer service stuff.......they've got it going on!!!!   Every time I've called in they help me out and each time what they've told me has been right on and helped solve my problem.

Here's Deb's table topper I did for her.  She's out snorkeling on some beach while I'm sweating like some beached whale!!! 

Don't you love these colors together?  Deb wanted the cute little daisies on her tablerunner.  I love doing that design.   She did a good job on this project. Now she's gonna start another one since this one was so easy.  We knew you could do it!!

I finished another quilt but I have to ask the owner before I show it on here.  It's a gift for someone and we dont wanna spoil that now do we??  

I took a picture of  one of my antique quilt tops. I told Kathy I'd start showing some of them then I keep forgetting. And she's over there waiting patiently.

I bought this one years ago while working at a quilt shop.  I remember this lady walking in and said that she had found several quilt tops in an attic of a relative who had passed away. She had no use for them.  OMG well I sure have a use for them.  So this one came home with me. 

Can you see all the reproduction fabrics in the block? I've thought about quilting this top but it's so thin I'm afraid it will tear from the needle of the machine.  And I'm just not gonna hand quilt it. That's not gonna happen.

Jen tagged me to do this meme. I'm with her I dont know what that means or how to say it but I'm gonna play along cause it's from Jen.  It's a 15 year Meme.  I have to tell my last 15 years in 10 points.  Oh boy here goes.

1) I was 33 years old and it was 1993. We were living in the SF Bay area.  In a town called Tracy.  When we moved there it was mainly fields of farmland. When we left houses as far as you could see.

2) I owned a housecleaning business there. It was called Cleaning by SKY.  SKY is my initials.  This was my first business I'd ever owned and I started it with just my mop, a bucket and some cleaning supplies.  My first customer was my gyno.  LOL!!!! His wife saw my ad in the local paper and called. I was surprised when I got to that house.  Of course he probably didn't recognize me from my face.  ROFLOL!! If you know what I mean. The name of my business was an easy one to remember.  We would get prannk calls asking  "do you clean the sky?"  LOL!!!    DUH!!!  No but I'd love to clean your clock. 

3) Sold the business in 1995 and we moved to LA because of hubby's job.  I didnt want to make that move at all but he's gotta work right?  I sure didnt want to go.   The bay area at least had season a little bit like the midwest. 

4) Jan. 1996 my favorite grandma passed away. This was absolutely the saddest day of my life.  I loved her more than anything and still to this day get sad when I think of her being gone.  I only hope to be a grandma like her one day. 

5) My oldest son graduated from high school in 1998 which I just couldnt see how that was happening so soon.  I can't have a child out of high school. It just can't be.  I was happy and sad. Wilster did not like school at all. Other than the social part of course. And he was great at that. Still is to this day.  That's why he's in the radio business. The boy loves to entertain!!!  When he graduated I made him show me that diploma cause I wasn't sure it really just happened. I thought maybe they just let him take the stroll with his classmates.   LOL!!  Then he left home right after graduation which was a very sad day. I missed him terribly. He moved back to the midwest.

6) In 2001 my baby boy graduated from high school which really made me feel old. You think that you'll be ok and then you go there and the whole thing happens. You know that's it your boys are growing up.   I miss that part of life really bad. 

7) 2002 I opened my quilt shop. That was a happy day for me.  I had always dreamed of owning my own shop and my hubby and FIL made that dream come true. It was the hardest I've ever worked and I had some of my best times at that shop.  Some of my worst too I might add.  LOL  WE wont go into that though ok?

8) 2006 I sold my shop.  It was no longer a fun thing for me and time to move on.  Man I wish I would have done things differently during the selling  process but, can't look back right??  Live and learn!  Everything happens for a reason.  I really beleve that now.  That year my son Boo graduated from college and left home to begin his new career.  Tough time for me all around. Life was changing and hard to adjust to. Wilster bought his first house that year.  How can both of my boys be out of high school, Boo out of college and Wilster  owns a house??  I swear I was still 20 something myself.  Did I fall asleep and miss something??

9) 2007  Boo bought his first house after renting in Indiana for a year..  I just dont know how he made it alone without momma for all that time.  I think I had a harder time with him moving to a state all alone than he did.  It was tramatic for ME.  I wanted to go move in with him. I was a wreck.  Last year I started my blog too and a whole new world opened up for me. I met lots of new friends and found some old ones that I had not seen or heard from in awhile.  Thanks to Doe for talking me into doing this new venture. I wasn't sure about it at first.  Now I am loving it.  

10) In April we lost my wonderful MIL Marcie.  I will always miss her.  She was a great lady and the best MIL I could have asked for. A GOOD thing that happened in 2008 is  we finally made the decision as to when we will move out of CA and back to the midwest which I've been waiting nearly 20 years.  It's a happy time for both of us.  Indiana here we come!!!   The next year is gonna fly by I'm sure.

Ok, onto the Cupcake Swap, I have just about matched everyone up with a partner.  Remember that you have to do something cupcake related. You can make it or purchase it.  Dont be cheap here girls do something that you would love to keep for yourself.  It's the only way to play.  Matter of fact, I like my stuff so much I just MIGHT keep it.  LOL!!!!  Sorry Anna. Deadline to mail is August 18th. And you can send me photos if you want so I can post them. Wanna see what I worked on this weekend? Even if you dont you know I'm gonna show you. I finished most of this quilt.  I've got one big border left to add.  I decided against the King size.  I know some of you are laughing at me.  I just cant do it.  King size quilts make me crazy!!!   This one is still gonna be huge.

Next up is a couple tablerunners I made. This one is using Miss Monica's pattern. Very easy to do.

And this one. I love these colors.  My photo is a bit blurry.  Sorry.  But trust me it's pretty. LOL

And this. I made it from my leftover pieces.  Just a little doll quilt. Or a placemat??? 

And last but not least.  I received my pincushion from the swap that Linda hosted. Thanks for hosting this Linda. So my swap secret person was Marica and I love my things she sent. And of course like we all say we love getting Royal mail!!! I just let it sit for a day and looked at the pkg.  Beth don't say a word!! I just love getting things in the mail but not opening them for awhile. Just getting mail is good enough for me. 

Look how cute she wrapped it and check out the Geisha candy.  It arrived feeling like a  pouch of chocolate milk.  It went immediately into the fridge to harden up.

Cute pincushion and a smaller one that goes into a spool of thread then there is that cute little needle keep. I love it and it's in my favorite!!! ME fabric.  Hmmmm how did she know I like me some Mary E. fabs??

A NO blogging friend of mine now has a blog so go on over and welcome her wont' ya??  I've never actually met Kim only chatted on email.  But I feel like she's a friend. And remember that skirt I was giving away well it went to Kim.  I say we need to see her wearing it now that she has a blog.

It can be handmade, or store bought. But let's be creative and give something you yourself would be excited to receive in the mail.  No duds out there ok??   I mean it!!!  Dont make me post your name on here.   LOL!!!!   You so know how I love doing that.  

I've got to tell you that me and the Sistas have talked Deb into not only quilting but into making her Annies again.  She used to make them years ago and there wonderful. So there coming and you know I'll be showing you once she's made a few of them.  Oh only after I've bought the ones I want!!!  LOL!!!  Just in time for Christmas maybe she'll be ready for us.  It's coming you know???? 

Hubby took a day of vacation today and I helped him outside with some more house repairs for the big move.  Can I tell you how hot I was???  Well can I????   Hot as hell!!!  That's how hot I was.  They say it's a dry heat.............well I'm thinkin not so much.  Cause last time I checked a princess does not sweat and let's just say....................well you know.  Then I came in and did a little sewing.  The girls and I bought some of this fabric when we went shopping a couple days ago and I couldnt wait to sew it together.  Wanna see???  I want to make this King size I think for my bed. It's so girly looking.  So...........grand -daughterish.  Oh where is my head??  I had a brain freeze there for a moment. I dreamed  I had a grandaughter to give this quilt to.  Then I woke up!!!! 

I'm still not liking this new Typepad.  Too bad I just paid for another year cause I'd be hopping on over to Blogspot if not.   Can't they get it together over there??? I saw my 89.95 on the credit card bill for goodness sake.  I know I paid!!!!   Can someone tell me why I get knocked off line when I try to backspace on a photo.  Internet Explorer stops working every dang time!!!!  Never happend with the old Typepad.

Before I go there is something  I must say.  I know your saying OMG I hope it's not about ME!!!   LOL!!!  Well it's not about a blogger at all so you can rest now.  And matter of fact you dont even have to read any further if you dont want to. Some of you know the story and most don't.  But I know the person I'm talking to will be reading and this is the only way I have of knowing that she will in fact get the message so here goes.......

DENISE why are you not sending Nancy's stuff back to her? She did as you asked when you called acting all professional and sent yours thing back to you overnight.  The least you could do is send her things back to her. You show up at my door apologizing for all the stuff you put me thru and ask for forgiveness which I did try and give to you. Well that didnt work as I knew it wouldnt but I did try.  Then you do this to Nancy??  Guess that's why your the one needing to apologize to people.  Remember what goes around comes around.  You can't go on treating people like this and get away with it.  You just can't.  It will come back and bite you in the ass!!!!

I'm sorry that those of you that have no idea had to read this but I had to say this.  I'm tired of people shitting on me and my friends.  And because i have a blog and can get the message across I do.  I am nice to people and try and do what's right.  I can live with myself because of that. Ok, I'm done with my rant.

Girls day out

The girls and I decided to head to Temecula for the day on Wed.  Ms. No Blog was stuck at her desk but dont feel bad for her cause she's been out and about too. Don't let her fool you with that sad face.  If and I'm saying IF she had a blog she could tell you all about her fun trip!  But she doesn't so we'll never know will we?  LOL!!! 

Back to the shopping trip.  Beth and Deb arrived at my house around 9:30 and after we chatted for awhile we left for Temecula only after stopping at Starbucks for some good old coffee!!!  Gotta, I've just gotta. And they played along.  Beth even treated us.  She let us get food too!!  I'm taking her everytime.  Thanks Beth! So it's off we go.

Some never get the message.  I'm just sayin! And what is Beth doing to that donkey???? ROFLOL!!!  HEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!! 

Inside we go to do some serious damage and boy did we ever.  They are so nice there and really appreciate the business.  There always so nice to let us take photos too. 

This is my favorite corner in this shop.  I could move right in.  I'm sure they wouldn't mind.  Deb is gonna jump into the quiting world with us.  I hear she even bought a new sewing machine today.   YOU GO GIRL!!   I gave her a quick lesson on cutting straight and she went home and whipped up a table runner. Now me and Daisy are gonna quilt it for her.  Go on over to her blog and check it out.  Tell her how good she did.

These two are up to no good I just know it!!!  Love the Cheri projects up there on the wall.  Wool heaven!! And what about that lamp shade?? To die for!!

We all three liked this big quilt.  They have kits for it too.   The cheddar in it is wonderful.

Alot of money later we're on our way to eat!!!  Did I tell you that I'm always hungry?? LOL  At least my mind came back from the menopause but so did my appetite!!! 

There was some high financing going on at this table. Do you see how serious they are?? I think I even heard some not so nice words coming from someone's mouth.  I'm not naming names but..........it was getting ugly.  LOL!!!!   They look like there playing poker right there at the table!!!

This clown was roaming the parking lot, no actually he was running!!  He apparently made a mini kite out of plastic grocery bags and was trying his darnest to get that thing flying. Can you see them lying on the ground to the right by that gray van?  He had it tied to a popsicle stick.   ROFLOL!! Deb was gonna go over and ask if he wanted her to run behind him holding it up.  Is that full moon back already I ask you?  Or did this nut job escape??? 

We had a great day I have to say.  It was alot of fun as usual. 

Today I worked on the swap partners for my cupcake swap.  I'm getting there girls. Did you see that  Dora No Blog is able to comment now and EVEN signed up for our swap?   WOOHOOO Dora!!   We've got 54 swappers I think.  WOW!!!   I think it's gonna be a fun one for sure. Once I get everyone paired up that is.  I asked one gal for her info twice and she gave it to me but said PLEASE don't give me two partners.  LOL!!!!  Now would I do that?   I saw some great cupcake stuff today at the store.  And I've started making my "someone" something cupcakey too.  No I'm not baking it.  LOL!!!  Well I just might you never know with me.

I also got several pkgs mailed off today.  Some someone's are gonna be surprised when there mailman rings twice.  Again, I'm just sayin!!!   I love sending mail.  Just love it!!!  Wouldn't it be fun if the mailman would take a photo of the person receiving the pkg and send it to you?? I know, I know, they do good enough just making it to the door with the darn pkg.  Let's not push out luck here.  But I can dream can't I?

Have you had the FAT plate at Outback lately? Hubby and I went to dinner tonight and I usually only eat half of my steak and then take the rest home for Madeline or hubby eats it before Madeline gets wind of it.  After I'd eaten almost half I noticed some fat.  I put my glasses on (that aren't working real well right now) to take a closer look. OMG half of this 21.00 steak plate was FAT!!!   Our waitress who just happenend to also be the bar tender.  Hmmmmm are we cutting back???  Not only on the beef but the help???  So I call her over and show it to her and she says oh you had the ribeye??  Well that's what I thought I ordered but apparently a big fat hog fell onto my plate and you grilled him.  No ok I didnt say that!!  I said I want to talk to the manager.  Doogey Houser came walking out, I swear this guy must have been 20 at the most.  I wanted to say oh no I didnt want to see his son I want to talk to HIM!!!  He says how are you this evening?? DUH would I have requested your butt to my table if everything was peachy??  I showed him the plate O fat and he says................are you ready for this response??????  You must have had the RIBEYE he says!!!   Then he proceeded to tell me that I should have said something sooner and why didn't I??  OH NO YOU DIN"T just say that to me!!!!   I said what difference does it make it's a plate of fat?  I just called him out to tell him not to get it free! But now I'm pissed. Then he says why didnt you call Shannon over and tell her? I said because SHANNON was busy bartending that's why!!!!   Hubby says if you were gonna give us half a steak then charge us half. He kept arguing with us and we finally said forget it!!!   Then  he said he'd take it off the bill.  Not I'm sorry, can we do anything for you.......NOTHING. Well yea I think now your gonna take it off the bill. Even as we left neither he nor the waitress said a word.  And that place was empty so you would think they'd be happy to have customers in there.  It used to be outside standing room only waiting to get inside.   So before you go to Outback the house of the 21.00 fat plate think twice.  Now dont get sick on me but here it is.  I'm telling you this is half of my plate. Is that disgusting or what??  We won't be going back there!!

And I must say that she doesn't like this fat plate one bit!!! Skinny fairy is trying to watch over me but it's really tough when I'm served something like that for goodnes sake.  I wish I would have had her skinny wand I would have smacked Doogey upside his flippin head with it.

Now for some quilty photos. 

I finally finished quilting my braid quilt.  Guess I'm ready for Christmas now.  But Miss No Blog has suggested that our group of Sistas  do a snowman quilt together, so I may just have another quilt soon.  She's got a new pattern that she said we would all like.  Sounds good to me.  That is after we have our other quilting class she's doing for us.  This requires a pajama party.   LOL!!!!  Any excuse for me you know.  Love me a good pajama party.

Finished these this weekend.  I'm on a roll with my Christmas gifties.  You know someone reminded me today that it's only 6 months away as of tomorrow.  Oh yes can you believe that one???  I'm gonna be ready I tell you.  All handmade gifts from me this year.  So you better be good.   LOL!!!

New specs and a new swap

Today I started off by going to the Optometrist.  First I dropped my glasses flat on the concrete in Vegas and scratched both lenses.  Then while sewing yesterday and talking with Boo on the phone, out popped my lens.  OMG I could not see to sew any longer. I remembered that I had bought this pair of over the counters. Man oh man they were not strong enough. But they were very stylish I might add. But looks aren't everything right?? LOL!!!!!!!!!   I've been meaning to go for my  eye test and keep putting it off. This got my butt moving and quick.  The sewing must go on!!   I got my new eye test and my new prescription.  One week I'll have new glases.  Oh yes I'll be modeling them right here for YOU!!

 

First off I'm gonna show you what i've been working on.  I did alot of sewing this weekend.  I've got so many unfinished projects in the sewing castle.  It feels good to dig them out and complete.  Most are almost finished but I just tucked them away.   Of course while in there I have new things staring at me that I just can't resist so I start.   I love this wallhanging. I'd make it bigger but I ran out of fabric.  So a table quilt it'll be.

And here's my faithful little helper.  It was so hot outside she couldnt stand it.  She's saying, could you stand 110 degree heat if you were wearing a fur coat????  I think not!

Remember this??  I made the stitchery awhile ago. I'm gonna hand quilt it with a primitive stitch then make a pillow I think.  Again you'll have to click on the photo to see all of this.  I just can't get it to show up.

Ok, this quilt was done the same way as the red/white one but it just lost the design so I made them into circles.  I like it better this way. For some reason 30's quilts don't photograph well for me. 

Nancy No Blog looky what I found!!!!!   PORCH SWING fabrics.  Since someone NEVER sent yours back to you, I've got you covered!!!   Everything happens for a reason remember???   She can just keep it.  Obviously she needs it more than you.  I think I have enough for both of us.  How much do you need?  LOL!! Maybe we could get together and make a few king size quilts.

So all I need is one swapper here.  LOL!! Just kidding of course. Vegas and a FIL

I decided that I'd like to spend my birthday  (yes we are still talking about it) in Vegas. And I decided that we should invite FIL to join us.  I had it all planned out, as long as we could convince FIL to join us.  He loves to go to local casinos in AZ and hasn't been to Vegas in years.  We called him and I asked if he'd be interested to go with us. He said he'd follow me anywhere.  WOW!!!  REALLY? 

We drove to Vegas on Monday my actual birthday and spent the day/evening just the two of us.  FIL was to arrive the next day around noon. We made it to the Vegas airport, what a mess that was.  Very confusing so we parked the car and walked into the baggage claim area.  No FIL.  We waited and waited and no FIL.  Now he's been known to stop off at bathrooms and then proceed to wipe the place down.  No not cleaning up after himself but cleaning up after EVERYONE!!!   I'm not kidding.  So we waited and after the crowd cleared, THERE HE WAS.  I spotted him standing all alone looking for us. And he was holding this. He said he bought it the night before and must have kept it in the fridge all night.  Then he carried it from AZ to Vegas for me.  I felt pretty special. 

After picking him up we were all ready for some lunch. or at least some beverages. That glass looks too big for him.  LOL!!!!

Must have been a good one by the look on his face.  Or not!!

I had this one. It was a blueberry Mojito.  It was very refreshing.  And take a look at FIL's glass.  Is that half empty or half full????  

Someone looks ready for a little nappy time.

I say let's go do some gambling.

I did pretty good in Vegas. I sat down at one machine put in my five nickels and voilla!!!  I got $75. buckaroos.  And almost at every machine I won.  FIL and hubby............not so much.  LOL!!!

After Vegas we drove with FIL to our house where he would spend a couple days.  Then we'd drive him back to AZ.  We made it the whole time in Vegas without FIL falling down.  I was so worried about him cause he's just not stable anymore. He made it all the way to our house and fell flat on his face at our front door.  OMG I had taken some stuff inside and on my way back outside I went to the door and there he was lying there. Blood all over.  His arm took the fall luckily and that's all that was hurt.  He's a tough old guy.

Of course we had to bbq cause FIL doesnt get to do that where he lives.  He always loved hubby's bbq. Chicken was on the menu.  Do those two look alike or what??

Not bad looking for 90 years old huh??   He's not bad looking either.   LOL!!!!!  Sorry couldn't resist that one.  And do you notice that he has a drink in his hot little hands at all time???  He has his cocktail in the evening without fail.  Don't be messin with his cocktail time either.  I'm just sayin!!!

I hope he had a great time.  I think he did and we were happy that he decided to join us.

Today I got lots of sewing done. Actually I got alot done this whole weekend. Hubby's been busy getting the house ready to put it up for sale.  Too bad it's been 110 all weekend long.  I've been cool in my sewing castle of course.  LOL!!!!!  I'll show you what I got finished tomorrow.   I've also got a swap idea.  So come on back tomorrow wont ya???
