I was lucky to be asked to make a little something using Deena Rutters new fabric line. Ava Rose for Riley Blake Designs. I LOVE this fabric line. I'm a RED person and everyone knows it but this is so pretty. I would have not picked these colors on my own and I'm so happy they picked me. I really do love them. Sometimes we need to get outside our little box right?
When the fabric arrived I had already picked out my project to make. I got busy fast because I couldn't wait to see how it turned out.
I picked a FREE project from the Riley Blake website. Did you know they have tons of FREE patterns over there? I've made several and they are great.
Little Ladybug is the free pattern I picked from the website.
This is the easiest pattern but really makes a statement with just the right fabrics. Deena did a great job on these. Look at that floral. And the coral color I picked for the inner border I love. Who am I kidding, I loved it all.
Then, lo and behold I had a runny nose, grabbed a tissue and said, OHMYGOODNESS. Hunka jumps and said, Oh no What??? I said that Kleenex box matches this fabric!!! GET OUT! Seriously doesn't it?
I LOVE this quilt. Have I said that already?
Here's another look.
I think I'm going to take a layer cake and make another quilt with this fabric and use all of the prints. These are just a few of them in the collection.
Here's one last picture. It's all finished and now my friend wants it. The colors are exactly like she's using in her new home. I'm not sure I can part with it though.
Thank you to Deena and Riley Blake Designs for the chance to create with this beautiful fabric. I feel honored. You can follow Deena and Riley Blake Designs on Instagram and at her blog. Oh and don't forget me. I'm over there too. Daisy Cottage Quilting
